Specsavers launches Men.Kind to champion male wellbeing

Specsavers has launched a new colleague network group, Men.Kind, to provide a supportive community where men can open-up, share experiences and access support.

The group gives men the tools, support, and space they need to take charge of their health – both mental and physical. It is open for Specsavers practice and support colleagues – welcoming all members, irrespective of their gender.

‘Men.Kind is all about raising awareness, encouraging open conversations as well as promoting healthy, active lifestyles,’ says co-chair James Carter (l), who is Specsavers group health and safety manager.

The network will support key awareness campaigns throughout the year, including Men’s Health Week, Movember, and National Inclusion Week. It also offers practical tools and content on topics such as sleep, stress, and staying active.

Co-chair Phil Sleet, head of health and safety, adds: ‘At its core,, Men.Kind wants to make health and wellbeing a priority for men at Specsavers and beyond. It’s not just about information; it’s about action too. We’ve set up Men.Kind to help Specsavers men live healthier, happier lives.

‘Men.Kind as a network group, can help play a significant role in improving the health and wellbeing of its members and their families.’
