NHS England is hosting a webinar for ophthalmology healthcare professionals on best value treatment pathways in ophthalmology 12:30 – 14:00 on Thursday 14 August.
This webinar follows on from the publication of Medical Retinal Treatment Pathway commissioning guidance for Wet Age-related Macular Degeneration, and is ahead of the anticipated launch of aflibercept 2mg biosimilars.
The commissioning guidance supports NHS England’s wider biosimilar strategy, which sets out to accelerate and widen the adoption of best value treatments and supports systems in achieving financial sustainability.
Speakers include Dr Chris Streather, Medical Director for NHS England’s London region, Bhavana Reddy, Head of Pharmacy and Clinical Support for NHS England’s Medicines Value and Access team, and Luke Nicholson, Director of Medical Retinal Services at Moorfields NHS Trust.
