Call for Papers issued ahead of NCC and BCLA symposium

A Call for Papers has been issued for the NCC/BCLA Collaborative Research Symposium, due to take place next March.

Researchers, clinicians, students, and early-career academics eager to showcase their work on contact lenses and the anterior eye are encouraged to submit an abstract.

Brad Parkes, chief executive of the BCLA, said: “The BCLA is delighted to be delivering an exciting scientific stream as part of the 2026 Congress. This partnership with NCC aims to present clinically relevant research while also supporting new researchers, clinicians, and early-career academics in sharing their work at this level.

“With the Call for Papers and Posters now open, this is an opportunity to submit your research, case reports, or clinical insights and be part of this major European event shaping the future of contact lens and anterior eye care.

“All accepted paper abstracts will be published in CLAE journal, giving your work formal citations, global reach, and visibility through major scientific databases.”

The biennial two-day conference, first established in 2006, combines one of Europe’s largest contact lens congresses with BCLA’s respected research expertise. It attracts over 1,500 contact lens professionals and enthusiasts and will be held on 8-9 March 2026 in Veldhoven, The Netherlands.

There is a pre-screening option for which submissions need to be made by Monday, 13 October 2025, with the final submission being Monday, 10 November 2025.

Papers, posters and case reports can be submitted via the BCLA website at www.bcla.org.uk, where the full criteria, guidelines, and online submission forms can also be found.

Further details on the conference, including programme, venue and registration information, can be found on the NCC website at www.contactlenscongress.com/en/home.
