Creche spaces available at Specsavers 2025 Professional Advancement Conference

A creche for children of delegates attending a sector-leading conference this September has spaces available.

Several dozen creche places are available at this year’s Professional Advancement Conference (PAC) organised by Specsavers – but the deadline for booking spaces is on Friday 5 September.

The sector-leading event is open to all optics and audiology clinical colleagues – regardless of where they work – as part of Specsavers ongoing commitment to support all clinicians in their development. It takes place at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre (ICC) on Sunday 14 September.

‘Family is the heart of what Specsavers is and does,’ says Gordon Harrison, Specsavers Director of Professional Advancement, Audiology. ‘With the current financial climate, we do see a number of families where both parents work and often split working hours.

‘It is important we support clinicians to develop and childcare should not be a barrier, especially as the event is held on a Sunday.’

He adds: ‘This year’s event will as action-packed as ever. It features top speakers, training sessions and gain valuable continuing professional development points. Plus, there are lots of opportunities to network professionally for delegates.

‘The creche places are available on a first-come first served basis. More information is available at https://specsaversevents.co.uk/pac/general/home.asp, where you can also register for the PAC and book a creche spot.’
